On a serious note I live 4 blocks from the dangling crane on 57 and 7. The building will be the highest residential building in NYC, the penthouse sold for 90 million. I guess is closing will be delayed for at least a few weeks.
I heard the crash and had no idea what it was till I heard the news about :30 minutes later on twitter. Pictures from my apartment:

When the accident first happen the dangling part was hanging North–hard to see from my vantage point.
